All I want to do is lie on a beach and sleep. Who’s with me?!
I have a special appreciate for Cancer season. As my sister sign, this is less emotionally overwhelming than say Pisces season and not as extreme as Scorpio season.
Cancer energy is like the perfect blend of emotion + work.
Cancer season is all about tapping into your intuition. This is done by simply listening to your gut. Easier said than done though right?!
For many years I used to wonder and ask how does one listen to their gut?
How do I tell the difference between my inner critic and my intuition?
For example, when I used to hesitate to do something with my brand I’d ask myself, is this my intuition protecting me or is this my insecurity rearing it’s head?
There’s no clear way to know. I guess I could say you’d “know” but do you really?
Let’s talk about how you can cultivate your intuition so that you’re aligned with the energy that works in your best interest instead of cowering to the fear that keeps you from growing, as a person, brand, and business.
How often do you talk to yourself? OK here me out.
Talking to yourself doesn’t have to be you verbalizing a conversation with yourself in public.
You can talk to yourself via journaling.
You can create a routine or ritual where you’re alone asking questions out loud so only you know the answer.
The purpose of this is to get comfortable speaking to yourself. If you’re not comfortable talking to yourself, then how receptive are you going to be when your intuitive voice speaks to you?
This speaks to a bigger question = what is the relationship you have with yourself?
If you’re not talking to yourself then are you really in a relationship with yourself?
So let’s get back to those heart-to-heart conversations…with your SELF.
When you get comfortable having a deep chat with yourself, ask yourself these questions:
1. What do I love to do?
2. What really lights me up?
3. Why am doing all of this?
4. What joy does it spark?
5. Am I happy with who I’ve become?
These few questions will help you create a connection with yourself so that you’re in tune with your mind, body, and soul. Because sometimes your brand strategy needs to get an intuition makeover before you can do the practical work.
Why is this important?
Navigating the entrepreneurial journey is just as much of an inside job as it is an outside hustle and you want to be aware of when you’re making decisions based on intuition or insecurity because, YES, there is a difference.
Once you feel comfortable talking with yourself, check-in often so that you’re nurturing that relationship. You’ll need to have your intuitive self ready for when you:
– have to get a second opinion on your business decisions
– are not fully sure if you’re creating the right program
– second guess whether your content is good enough
No one is as invested in your success as you so cultivating your intuition comes in very handy when you need to touch base with yourself so that you get the clarity and guidance you need to move forward in the best direction for your brand + business.
